Editorial Review

How This Compass Associate Guide Is Researched

This independent page combines official portal routes, Compass USA support information, government tax guidance, practical browser checks and clearly labeled editorial explanations.

Official links first

Portal, registration and support links are labeled as external official resources so readers can distinguish them from this independent website.

Claims checked

We avoid presenting unverified lockout periods, payroll timing, account-retention windows or support wait times as universal Compass rules.

Human review

Major factual, security and usability changes are reviewed before the page date is updated. This page was last reviewed on July 29, 2026.

Accuracy boundary Portal menus and account options can vary by role, location, business unit and system version. Follow the live instructions shown on the official portal and use One HR for personal account, payroll or tax-form decisions.

High-value task router

Choose the Exact Compass Associate Task Before You Log In

This page should not only send users to a portal. It should help them understand the correct route, what information they need, when a portal problem is a browser issue, and when HR is the only safe next step.

For current hourly associates

Start with ESS Mobility or CAP using the Login ID assigned to your employee record. Use PeopleHub for pay, W-2, direct deposit, profile, and tax-form tasks after login.

For new hires

Use the registration route only after HR has activated your record. If identity details fail repeatedly, stop retrying and verify the Personnel Number and HR record.

For former employees

Use separated employee recovery or personal email recovery for W-2 and historical pay documents. Do not rely on an old work email after leaving.

Practical rule: portal issue or HR issue?

If the page is blank, slow, or looping, treat it as a browser/session issue first. If your identity is not found, W-2 is wrong, payroll is missing, account is locked, or your personal email is outdated, treat it as an HR verification issue and prepare your Personnel Number before calling.

Use the Correct One HR Option for the Problem

Compass USA publishes one central number, but the menu option matters. Choosing the correct team reduces transfers and helps you prepare the right non-secret information.

Diagnostic Guide

Employee Diagnostic Guide: Find Your Exact Fix

If you are stuck, do not keep guessing passwords. Find your situation below to see a safer next step, what non-secret information to prepare and when authorized support is necessary.

I Cannot Log In or My Account is Locked

Repeated unsuccessful login attempts may temporarily restrict access. Stop retrying, use the official Login Assistance option, and contact authorized support when recovery cannot verify the account.

Your Next Step:

  • For general login failures: Use only the Login ID supplied through onboarding, your manager, One HR or the official recovery process. The identifier can differ by role and system, so do not assume a universal number length or format.
  • If you are locked out: Stop attempting to log in. Self-service tools cannot bypass a hard lockout. You must contact on-site HR or call the HR Helpdesk.

Prepare Before Calling:

Have your Personnel Number, work location and other non-secret employment details available. Provide sensitive information only when an authorized Compass representative requests it through an approved verification process.

I Am a New Hire and Registration Fails

If the system says “Identity Not Found,” your data does not match the HR database yet, or you are entering it incorrectly.

Your Next Step:

  • Use the Personnel Number or Clocking ID option that matches the identifier supplied by your manager, onboarding team or workplace instructions.
  • Enter information exactly as requested by the official registration page and as it appears in your employment record.
  • If the official page cannot find the record, ask your manager or onboarding contact whether self-service registration has been activated.

Common Mistake:

Do not retry random details. After repeated failures, stop guessing and verify the employment record with your manager, onboarding contact or One HR.

Paystub or W-2 is Missing

W-2 and paystub availability depends on the document type, tax year, payroll schedule and account status.

Your Next Step:

  • For W-2s: Sign in through the official route, look for Tax Forms, Payroll, Pay or PeopleHub, and select the required tax year.
  • For paystubs: Look for Pay, Payroll, Pay Statements or Earnings and select the required pay period.
  • If a document is missing or incorrect: Do not attempt to file taxes with a wrong W-2. Call HR immediately to request a correction (W-2C).
Save any payroll and tax records you reasonably need in a protected personal folder. Do not upload them to public forums or unofficial support forms.

I Am a Former Employee

Former associates may have different portal-access or document-recovery options after employment ends.

Your Next Step:

  • Use the official recovery option shown on the current login page, when available.
  • If recovery is unavailable or uses an inaccessible contact method, call One HR for the correct document route.

Prepare Before Trying:

Prepare the requested tax year, former work location, approximate employment dates, Personnel Number if known and current contact details.

01 — Overview

What Is the Compass Associate Portal (CAP)?

Compass associates may encounter the terms CAP, ESS, PeopleHub and other workplace systems when accessing pay, tax forms, profile information or assigned employee resources. The exact tools and menu labels available can vary by role, business unit and account.

Current, new and former associates

Start With the Route That Matches Your Employment Status

A login that worked during employment may not remain the correct route after separation, rehire or a change of business unit.

Current associate

Use CAP, ESS or the assigned manager route. Keep a personal email and telephone number current for recovery and year-end documents.

Best support: One HR or Technology Service Center, depending on whether the issue is record-related or technical.

New hire or rehire

Register only after the employee record is active. Use the identifier supplied by onboarding; do not assume an old login will automatically attach to the new record.

Best support: Manager, onboarding contact or One HR Option 3.

Former associate

Try the current official recovery path for historical pay and tax documents. When access cannot be restored, call One HR with the tax year, former location and employment dates.

Best support: One HR Option 2 for W-2 and payment questions.

Employment and income verification

Use Experian Verify for Employment or Income Proof

Compass USA publishes different verification routes for current associates, former associates and third parties.

Who needs verification?Official starting routeWhat to prepareImportant protection
Current associateUse the Experian Verify link provided on Compass USA’s official associate-resources page.Assigned Compass sign-in and the type of verification requested.Do not send payroll files to an unofficial landlord, lender or recruiter link.
Former associateVisit Experian Verify and use Compass employer code 4FBCDD9F.Identity details required by Experian and former-employment information.Open Experian from Compass USA’s published instructions when possible.
Third-party verifierUse Experian Verify through the official verification workflow.Employee authorisation and the permitted request details.Do not request or retain more information than authorised.
Verification is different from a paystub request A lender or landlord may require an employment or income verification report rather than a screenshot of the employee portal. Confirm the requested document before sharing sensitive payroll information.

02 — Login

How to Log In to the Compass Associate Portal

The official sign-in flow asks for an assigned Login ID and password. These steps explain how to recognize the expected route, avoid lookalike websites and decide when official recovery is required.

Compass Associate Portal ESS login screen at ess.compassassociate.com
1
Go to the Official ESS Portal
Avoid unsolicited or unverified login links

Open any modern browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox) and go to:

Official URLhttps://ess.compassassociate.com

The portal may continue through a CompassManager.com single-sign-on page. Check the complete spelling and continue only when the redirect matches the official route you opened.

Bookmark the verified portal. Treat unexpected messages asking you to sign in, share a verification code or confirm payroll details as suspicious and verify them through an official contact.
2
Enter Your Login ID (Username)
Use the Login ID assigned to your account

👤 Personnel Number

Use this when your manager, onboarding material or official employee record identifies the Personnel Number as your Login ID. Enter it exactly as issued.

Example format: employee number

📧 Network or enterprise Login ID

Some authorized accounts use a different employer-issued identifier. Use this only when Compass or your workplace has explicitly supplied it.

Use the exact assigned Login ID

Type your username, then click Continue.

Do not cycle through guessed username formats. Confirm the assigned Login ID with your manager, onboarding contact or One HR when the official page does not recognize it.
3
Enter Your Password and Click Login
Case-sensitive — common failure points listed below

Type your password and click Login.

⚠ Common login checks Caps Lock is on · Saved autofill password is outdated · The wrong Login ID is being used · The mobile keyboard changed a character · The account requires official recovery
4
What You’ll See After Successful Login

  • Pay / Paystubs — current and historical pay statements
  • PeopleHub or profile tools — personal information and available employee actions
  • Benefits — available enrollment and plan resources where enabled
  • Schedule or time tools — only when assigned to your account or location
  • Tax Forms — available year-end wage statements and related documents
Download paystubs as PDFs and store them locally. Older paystubs may eventually be archived. You will need them for loan applications, housing applications, and filing taxes.

03 — New Hire Registration

How to Register for CAP (New Employee Checklist)

⚠ Clocking ID

Use this field only when your manager, timekeeping instructions or onboarding team specifically provided a Clocking ID for registration.

3
Verify Your Identity
Confirms you are an active Compass employee
  • Complete only the identity prompts displayed by the official registration system.
  • Match spelling, numbers and contact information with the employment record.
  • Stop retrying when the page repeatedly cannot verify the record.
If verification fails, confirm the assigned identifier and registration status with your manager, onboarding contact or One HR. Do not send identity documents or Social Security information to this independent website.
4
Enter Your Contact Details
Confirm a recovery contact method you control

The official system may display or request a recovery contact method. Confirm that you can access it and that the information belongs to you.

⚠ Keep recovery information current. Use only an email address or phone number accepted by the official system and controlled by you. Do not publish it or share access codes with another person.
5
Complete Setup via Email Link
Follow the delivery instructions shown by the official system

Check the inbox or contact method connected to the registration. Open only the message you requested and verify that any link leads to an expected official Compass-controlled domain. Then:

  • Create a password that satisfies the rules displayed on the live page.
  • Complete any recovery or security prompts requested by the official system.
  • Save the assigned Login ID in a secure password manager or private record.
If the requested message does not arrive, check spam or junk folders and use the official resend or recovery option. Contact support when the registered contact method is inaccessible.
6
Log In for the First Time
Your account is now active

Go to ess.compassassociate.com and log in with your Personnel Number and new password.

First login checklist: Verify your address in My Profile · Confirm direct deposit bank account · Add an emergency contact · Download a test paystub to confirm access works.

04 — Paystubs

How to View and Download Paystubs

Use the pay or payroll area to locate the statement for a specific pay period. Statement availability and bank posting times vary, so confirm payment using the official pay date and your financial account record.

1
Log In and Navigate to Pay
Via CAP dashboard or ESS Mobility top menu

Log in at ess.compassassociate.com. Click the Pay or Paystubs tile on the dashboard. On a phone, look for Pay, Payroll, Paystubs, Pay Statements or a similar menu; labels can vary by account and interface version.

2
Select the Pay Period
Select the required pay period or pay date

Select the pay period or pay date you need. Confirm that the beginning and ending dates match the hours you are reviewing because payroll schedules can vary by business unit and location.

For income verification, check the requesting organization’s document requirements and download only the statements you need.
3
Open and Save the PDF
Store locally — don’t rely on the portal forever

Click View Paystub. The stub opens as a PDF. Use your browser’s download button or File → Save As to save to your device or cloud storage.

⚠ Important: Keep required payroll records in a protected personal folder. Availability of historical statements can vary by system and account status.
4

If a document does not display, check the download folder, allow the official portal’s document window, or try an updated browser. Use the Technology Service Center when the official system remains unavailable.

05 — W-2 Tax Forms

How to Download Your W-2 from CAP

For 2026 wages, the IRS instructions state that employers generally must furnish employee copies by February 1, 2027, because January 31 falls on a weekend. For other tax years, use the deadline stated in the applicable IRS instructions. Check the official tax-form area for the correct calendar year and review the form before filing.

1
Log In and Open PeopleHub
Look for Tax Forms, Payroll, Pay or PeopleHub

Log in at ess.compassassociate.com. From the dashboard, look for PeopleHub, Tax Forms, Payroll, Pay or another year-end document area. Menu names can vary by account and system version.

If the expected tax-form area does not appear, confirm that you are using the correct account and tax year, then contact One HR for account-specific assistance.
2
Open the available tax-form or year-end document area
Menu wording can vary

Open the available tax-form or year-end document area and select the calendar year in which the wages were paid. For example, a 2025 W-2 reports wages paid during 2025 and is normally used for a 2025 tax return filed in 2026.

3
Download the W-2 PDF
Review the tax year and save the employer-issued PDF securely

Click the year to open the PDF. Download and save immediately. Use the employer-issued form when preparing the applicable federal, state or local tax return. Protect the PDF because it contains sensitive wage and identification information.

⚠ W-2 missing or incorrect? Confirm the tax year, check the available year-end document area and call One HR at 1-877-311-4747, Option 2. Identify the exact issue without emailing an unredacted tax form through an ordinary channel.
4
Update Tax Withholding (W-4) Inside PeopleHub
Adjust federal/state deductions per paycheck

Look for the federal or state withholding action available in your assigned payroll or profile system. Review the live instructions carefully and contact payroll when the option is unavailable or your withholding record appears incorrect.

Review Form W-4 after a meaningful tax or household change. Use the IRS Tax Withholding Estimator or a qualified tax professional when you need personal guidance.

06 — Profile & Benefits

Managing Your Profile, Benefits & Direct Deposit

Keeping contact information current can help with recovery messages, payroll communication and year-end documents. Use only the profile tools assigned to your account and follow any verification steps shown.

1
Update Address, Phone, or Email
Look for Personal Information or Profile
  • Review the home or mailing address used for employment and tax correspondence.
  • Keep an accessible phone number and recovery email where the system permits updates.
  • Check that your legal name matches official employment and Social Security records.
  • Contact HR when a legal-name or protected identity field requires documentation.
Update information through the official system or authorized HR process. Changing an address after a tax form has been produced may not automatically replace the already issued document.
2
Add Emergency Contacts
Use the Emergency Contact area when available

Add or review the emergency-contact information requested by your employer. The number of contacts and fields available can vary by system.

3
Update Direct Deposit
Use a secure, authorized payroll process

Open the direct-deposit or payment-election area assigned to your account. Enter bank details only on the official portal and confirm the effective date or verification instructions displayed there.

Do not close an existing account until payroll confirms the change and you verify where the next payment was sent. Processing time can vary.
4
View Health, Dental, Vision & 401(k)
Available benefits or Total Rewards resources
  • Current health insurance plan and coverage details
  • Dental and vision enrollment status
  • 401(k) contribution rate (linked to plan provider)
  • Life insurance and other elected benefits
Enrollment timing: Benefit changes are generally limited to annual enrollment or an eligible life-event window, but plan rules and deadlines vary. Use the official benefit materials or One HR Option 1 for account-specific guidance.

07 — Password Reset

Fast Password Reset When You’re Locked Out

Three reset paths depending on your situation. Use the correct one to avoid wasting time and triggering further lockouts.

🔑 Path A

Use Forgot Password or Login Assistance and follow the recovery method currently displayed by the official system.

📧 Path B

If the official system sends a recovery message, use only the registered contact method you control and verify the destination domain before continuing.

📞 Path C

If official self-service recovery cannot verify you, use the authorized support route: 1-877-311-4747.

1
Click “Forgot Password?” or “Login Assistance”
Both links appear on the login page

At ess.compassassociate.com, look for “Forgot Password?” or “Login Assistance” below the login button. Both paths lead to the same reset process.

2
Enter Your Username
Use the account-recovery option shown for your status

Enter the assigned Login ID or recovery information requested by the live page. Former associates should use the recovery option displayed for their account or contact One HR when the system cannot verify them.

3
Complete the Displayed Verification Step
Follow the security prompt exactly as displayed

Enter the requested answer carefully. If the official recovery process cannot verify you:

  • Click “Reset Account” instead (different link on the same page)
  • Call 1-877-311-4747 and ask for the correct account-recovery route
Repeated guessing can make recovery harder. Stop when the system cannot verify the answer and use the authorized support route.
4
Create New Password and Log In
Return through the official sign-in route

Open only the reset message you requested, confirm that its link uses an expected official domain, create a password that satisfies the live rules, then return through the official sign-in page. If the new password is not accepted, avoid repeated attempts and use official support.

Password rules: Follow the requirements displayed by the live Compass system. Do not reuse an important personal password or share a one-time verification code.

08 — Troubleshooting

Common Compass Portal Problems and Safer Fixes

Use these checks before contacting support. Browser problems may respond to low-risk troubleshooting, while account, identity, payroll and tax-form issues require authorized assistance.

!
“Invalid Username or Password” Error
Check the Login ID, password and official recovery route
  • Check Caps Lock — passwords are case-sensitive
  • Clear saved/autofill passwords and retype manually from scratch
  • Confirm you’re using Personnel Number, not your personal email
  • Use a Network or enterprise Login ID only when it was specifically assigned to you
  • Try another updated browser or a private browsing window
  • On iPhone, disable auto-capitalization on the password field
Stop repeated attempts. Use the official password-reset or Login Assistance route when the same credentials are rejected. Contact authorized support when the account remains restricted.
!
Account Locked After Too Many Attempts
Use official recovery or authorized support

🏢 Manager or On-Site HR

Ask for the approved account-recovery or identity-verification route for your workplace. Processing time varies.

📞 One HR

1-877-311-4747 — Call during regular business hours and follow the representative’s verification instructions.

!
Password Reset Email Never Arrives
Checks before contacting support
  • Check spam, junk, and promotions folders immediately
  • Allow reasonable delivery time and avoid requesting many reset messages at once
  • Confirm that you can access the recovery contact method connected to the account
  • Use the resend option only on the official recovery page

If the message still does not arrive or the registered contact method is inaccessible, call 1-877-311-4747 for the appropriate recovery route.

!
Mobile / Phone Login Issues
Test the browser before assuming an account error
  • Switch to Desktop View in your phone browser menu (Chrome: 3-dot menu → Desktop site; Safari: aA icon → Request Desktop Website)
  • Try another trusted connection when the current network is unstable
  • Update your browser to the latest version
  • Clear browser cache and cookies, then reload
  • Try another current browser when the page does not render correctly
Do not install an app simply because its name includes “Compass.” Use the browser portal or an application specifically assigned by your manager or workplace. Compass Time is an official time-and-attendance app, but it may not apply to every associate.
!
Registration Fails — “Identity Not Found”
Data mismatch between your input and HR records
  • The assigned Personnel Number or Clocking ID was entered incorrectly
  • The submitted information does not match the active employment record
  • The employment record may not yet be enabled for self-service registration
  • The wrong identifier type was selected for the workplace
  • The record requires verification by onboarding, a manager or One HR

Contact your manager, onboarding contact or One HR to verify the assigned identifier and registration status before trying again.

!
Paystub or W-2 Not Showing in Portal
Check the tax year, pay period and account access
  • Paystub availability depends on the payroll schedule and document-posting process
  • Employers generally furnish W-2 forms by January 31, subject to the next-business-day rule
  • Check the Pay, Payroll, Pay Statements, Tax Forms and PeopleHub areas available to your account
  • Try refreshing or clearing cache — occasional display bugs are browser-related
  • New-hire payment timing depends on start date, payroll cutoff and the workplace pay schedule

Still missing after the expected date? Call 1-877-311-4747.

!
Dashboard Stuck or White Screen After Login
Try a targeted browser-session reset

If the page hangs, shows a white screen or remains on a loading spinner, test a private window first. If the problem continues, remove site data only for the relevant official Compass domains:

  • In Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data → See all site data → search compassassociate.com and compassmanager.com → delete only those entries (don’t clear all cookies, you’ll lose other logins)
  • In Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data → search Compass and remove
  • Close the browser completely, reopen, then log in again

Practical checks

12 Practical Compass Portal, Pay and W-2 Tips

These practical reminders help associates prepare for common account, pay, tax-form and document-recovery situations without presenting unverified internal procedures as guaranteed rules.

Tip 01

Do not treat a posted paystub as a completed bank deposit

A pay statement may appear before, on or after the time a bank displays the related transaction. Use the official pay date and the completed bank transaction—not a portal preview alone—when confirming whether funds are available.

Tip 02

Confirm your first expected pay date during onboarding

First-paycheck timing depends on your start date, payroll cutoff and location’s pay schedule. Ask your manager or payroll contact for the first expected pay date and the pay period it covers.

Tip 03

Personnel Number and Network ID are not interchangeable

Use the Login ID assigned to your account. A Personnel Number, Network ID, Clocking ID and location number can serve different purposes, so do not infer the correct login format only from the number of digits.

Tip 04

Use the employer name printed on the W-2

The legal employer printed on a W-2 may differ from the workplace or operating-brand name employees recognize. Enter the employer name and EIN exactly as shown on the employer-issued form.

Tip 05

Use one clean sign-in attempt after a reset

After completing official recovery, return through the verified sign-in route and enter the new password carefully. If it is rejected, stop repeated attempts and contact support rather than assuming a fixed synchronization time.

Tip 06

Save required employment documents before access changes

Before or after separation, save only the pay and tax records you are authorized to keep. Store them securely and contact One HR when historical documents are no longer available through self-service.

Tip 07

Make a complete support request

Before calling, prepare the affected system, pay period or tax year, former or current work location, error message and any previous case number. A precise request is more useful than guessing which time of day will be fastest.

Tip 08

Review every state and locality on your W-2

Employees who worked in more than one state or locality should review Boxes 15–20 carefully. Filing obligations depend on individual circumstances, so use official state guidance or a qualified tax professional.

Tip 09

Confirm a direct-deposit change before closing an account

Follow the effective-date and verification instructions shown by the official payroll system. Do not close an existing account until payroll confirms the change and you verify where the next payment was sent.

Tip 10

Rehired associates should confirm the assigned account

A rehired associate may be assigned an existing or updated account depending on the employment record. Confirm the correct Login ID with onboarding or One HR instead of creating a duplicate account or repeatedly testing old credentials.

Tip 11

W-2 Box 12 codes — what they actually mean

Box 12 uses IRS letter codes. Common examples include Code DD for the cost of employer-sponsored health coverage, Code D for certain 401(k) elective deferrals and Code W for reportable HSA contributions. Use the IRS instructions for the exact meaning and tax treatment.

10 — Security

Security and Privacy Checks Before You Sign In

Employee systems and downloaded payroll documents can contain sensitive identity, wage and banking information. Use a private device, verify the official domain and store documents securely.

✅ Safer Practices

  • Log out on any shared or public computer
  • Use a unique password not used on any other site
  • Keep the registered recovery contact method accessible and current
  • Bookmark the official URL — only use that link
  • Review account-recovery information when the official system permits it

🚫 Avoid These Actions

  • Share login credentials with coworkers or managers
  • Save passwords on public or shared devices
  • Log in via links from texts or social media
  • Use Compass credentials on third-party “helper” websites
  • Approve a sign-in or verification request you did not initiate

Any unrelated website requesting a password, verification code or payroll document should be treated as a risk.

11 — FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

These answers explain common situations and show when self-service may help and when authorized support is required.

What is my username for the Compass Associate Portal?

Use the Login ID assigned to your account. Depending on the role and system, this may be a Personnel Number or another employer-issued identifier. Do not guess formats from the number of digits; confirm it through onboarding, your manager or One HR.

I left Compass Group. Can I still access my W-2 and paystubs?

Former-associate access can vary by account and document. Try the official recovery option displayed on the current login page. If access cannot be restored, call 1-877-311-4747 and request help for the specific pay period or W-2 tax year.

Why does my W-2 say “Compass Group USA” when I work at Levy / Chartwells / Bon Appétit?

The legal employer printed on a W-2 may differ from the workplace or operating-brand name employees recognize. Use the employer name and EIN exactly as printed on each employer-issued form. Contact payroll if you believe the form belongs to the wrong employer record.

When is my W-2 available and what if it contains an error?

Employers generally furnish W-2 forms by January 31, subject to the next-business-day rule. If the form is missing or the name, SSN, wages or withholding appears wrong, call 1-877-311-4747 and select Option 2. Payroll determines whether a corrected Form W-2c is required.

Is there a Compass Associate mobile app?

The official ESS route can be opened in a current mobile browser. Do not assume that every app containing “Compass” is an employee-login app. Install only an application assigned by your manager or workplace; Compass Time is an official time-and-attendance app but may not apply to every associate.

What’s the difference between CAP, ESS Mobility, OMS, and PeopleHub?

CAP is a term commonly used for the Compass Associate Portal.

ESS refers to employee self-service access through the official ESS route.

OMS or manager tools may be assigned to authorized management accounts.

PeopleHub may appear as a module for profile, pay, tax or employee actions. Availability and labels vary by account.

Why does my CAP login redirect to compassmanager.com?

The employee route may continue through a CompassManager.com single-sign-on page. Check the full domain spelling and continue only when the redirect follows from the official portal you opened. Stop if an unrelated domain asks for credentials or a verification code.

Do I need to register again if I’m rehired in a new season?

Rehire account handling depends on the employment record. Use the Login ID supplied during rehire or confirm it with onboarding. Call 1-877-311-4747 when the official system cannot recognize or recover the assigned account.

Can my manager access or change my personal information in CAP?

Access permissions depend on the system, role and employer policy. Do not assume that a manager can view or edit protected identity, tax or bank information. Use the official profile tools or authorized HR process for sensitive changes.

How do I split my paycheck between multiple bank accounts?

Use the direct-deposit or payment-election area available to your account. Options for multiple accounts can vary. Enter bank details only on the official portal and follow the displayed effective-date and verification instructions. Confirm where the next payment was sent before closing an old account.

Why is my address still wrong on my W-2 even though I updated it in CAP?

An address update made after a W-2 was produced may not change the already issued form. Contact payroll when you need a replacement or believe other information is incorrect. Do not alter the employer-issued PDF yourself.

Can I update my W-4 anytime, or only during a specific period?

Employees can generally submit a new Form W-4 when their withholding instructions need to change, using the employer’s available payroll process. Use the IRS Tax Withholding Estimator or a qualified tax professional for personal guidance, and contact payroll when the electronic option is unavailable.

Is there a fee to access the Compass Associate Portal?

The official employee sign-in process should not require payment to enter credentials or recover ordinary account access. Do not pay an unrelated person or website to retrieve a paystub or W-2. Use official Compass support for account-specific help.

How do I contact Compass HR for portal help?

📞 One HR: 1-877-311-HRHR (1-877-311-4747) during regular business hours. Option 2 covers payroll, W-2, tax-withholding, pay-card and associate-payment questions.

💻 Technology Service Center: 1-888-295-7206 for Compass technology-system assistance.

🏢 Manager or on-site HR: Use the authorized workplace route for location-specific onboarding or account questions.
